This new product builds on Zone7’s release of the AI-Powered Periodization Planner and is designed to address one of the challenging aspects of performance management in team sports planning team-wide workload exposure across longitudinal periods, while refining the projected injury risk.
Our Vision
We believe that performance operators should be given complete autonomy to proactively simulate specific scenarios they deem suitable for the team as a whole, evaluating their projected impact on risk and performance, and then refining continuously. Empowering operators with cutting edge deep learning models interactively on a team-wide scale is a significant technological step forward.
To support this vision, we have built our performance simulation suite to allow two key processes:
- Applying a general, roster-wide workload scenario for the team and;
- Enabling personalized adjustments when relevant through the player-specific recommendation engine.
What does the Simulator do?
The Simulator provides a highly efficient and friendly experience to simulate projected workloads and estimating their impact on injury risk. It enables a one-click generation of injury risk forecasts according to multiple key factors:
- The team’s typical periodization model
- Team-specific scheduling scenarios.
Proactive evaluation is the main benefit
The main benefit to a team is the ability to proactively examine how an informed training plan (and projected match workload) for the entire roster can impact risk, rather than reacting when players are assessed to be at elevated risk. The same can also be done via a personalized approach, per player when necessary.
