La Liga side Getafe used the Zone7 platform during the 17/18, 18/19 and 19/20 Spanish seasons.
During these periods the team’s technical staff used the Zone7 platform and followed the recommendations designed to de-risk the players during training sessions and minute allocation in matches.
The team’s technical staff in all three seasons was identical and 13 field players, who account for approximately 65% of the first team squad, played for Getafe across all three seasons.
In the case study we compared periods in which Getafe used the Zone7 platform, to those in which it wasn’t in use.
Days out due to injury and injury incidents will be used to quantify the burden of injuries in each period.
Additionally, data describing user engagement with the Zone7 application will be used to objectively demonstrate the recommendations provided by the platform were taken into account.
