Real Salt Lake utilised the Zone7 platform during the 2019 MLS season. The analysis includes a comparison of different aspects between the period in which Zone7 was used by the team’s technical staff, to those in which it was not.
The major aspects in this case study are injury rates, days missed due to injury, and team performance.
When Real Salt Lake was using Zone7, 69% of the injuries that occurred were detected and alerted by Zone7.
In addition the study shows that in the time that Zone7 was used, the team enjoyed a 67% reduction in days out due to injuries, and a 57% reduction in injury occurrence rates compared to periods in which Zone7 was not used.
This study also revealed that during the time Zone7 was used, on average, Real Salt Lake acquired more points per match than in the periods where it was not used.
